RESCUE GROUPS

We are happy to support different groups with a portion of the proceeds of the Pup Starz products. This list will continue grow over time, so keep checking back.

McKamey Animal Shelter

We once got a cool dog named Scout from there, but Mr. Scout was not a fan of kids, so he had to find a new home.
Our good freinds in the Chatanooga area also have a dog from McKamey, so we feel like McKamey is an honorary family member.

The Motley Zoo was part of the inspiration for the Pup Starz story. They had a booth at festival called Summer Camp at Marymor Park in Redmond Washington. They also have some fun swag.

They are a rock 'n' roll themed, volunteer- powered, foster- based, 501c3 nonprofit based in Redmond, Washington).

Since 2009, they have placed more than 3,100 animals in loving homes - and established Rock Star Treatment Services (dog daycare, training & boarding) to help support thier rescue animals.

Save-a-Mutt

This was the first group we supported. It is also where we got our own pup Pippin from. Based in Stanwood WA, they started as a fundraising group called Scrub-a-Mutt, but in 2014 they converted their mission to becoming a fostering and rescue group and changed their name to Save-a-Mutt. They hope to find a forever home for their furry freinds.

Donations to date: $20 and some dog supplies. Find more in our July newsletter.

CASA

Another group in our backyard is the Camano Animal Shelter. They were the first group that sold Pup Starz books on our behalf at a farmers market and they plan to use our books as fundraisers at other event.

Their mission is to bring together animals in need and caring people, forever enriching their lives.

"To fulfill our mission, we educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering including referrals to low-cost clinics in our area and encourage owners of reclaimed animals to microchip their pets by explaining why it is important. We help people keep their pets rather than being forced to surrender them by offering assistance and providing pet food and/or supplies from our designated food bank supplies. At our shelter, animals are not given a time limit. Although we try and find forever homes in a timely fashion, they are welcome to stay here as long as they need. CASA believes that each animal is important and is deserving of the extra effort."
